"King of the Swamp" is the 19th episode of Season 3, and the 45th overall. It originally aired on June 21, 2012.
Story[]
With 4 days left, the hunters are scrambling to fill tags, while one title is being threatened. After his friend Julius passes away, Troy and Clint, along with Julius' partner Rebel, take on 40 extra tags to fill of Julius's. Now a trio, they head to Julius and Rebel's hunting grounds, a marsh that Troy has never been at before. After a slow start, a game warden gives them catfish heads, which are good bait. The heads work, and the trio finally catch a good haul. Willie and Randy hit the water on Randy's final day alligator hunting, due to buffalo fish fishing starts the next day, which is Randy's next venture. They caught many gators, but Randy refused to give up until they caught a large gator. After treble hooking, the duo finally catch the big gator.
With Tyler feeling sick, Bruce becomes worried on the water. After catching one gator, they see another had ripped the tree the bait was on, was ripped out of the ground and drug away. As they day goes on, Tyler starts looking worse and worse. Finally, they discover the tree and gator and Ron is able to shoot it on the land. After this, they head home and Bruce cooks Tyler pasta jambalaya, which has cured him in the past. Afterwords, Tyler is back to normal. In order to earn the title of "King of the Swamp", RJ and Jay Paul take separate airboats to fill tags. To tag out, they must get 18 gators per day, a quota that is easily met.
